How to Apply

Apply to an Undergraduate Program


1. Decide which program you're interested in

Use our Program Search to explore a variety of degree options with innovative course design and hands-on learning opportunities. Once you have selected your program(s) of interest, take note of details including how and when it is offered, career paths it may provide, and the courses you can expect to take.

2. Review Admission Requirements

黑料福利网 has a set of general admission requirements for entry to any of our programs. In addition to these requirements, your program of interest may require additional prerequisite courses, minimum grades and/or a supplementary application component like a video interview, audition or portfolio review. Be sure to familiarize yourself with all admission requirements before you apply.

3. Submit your application

4. Submit Required Documents

Once you receive access to your MyFile account, you can submit and/or upload required documents to our system. These may include official transcripts, language proficiency requirements, a supplementary application and course descriptions to be assessed for transfer credit.

Review tuition fees and costs

It's important to review the expected costs for your first year of university so that you can plan and budget. Tuition fees are based on the number of credits in which you are enrolled and your status as a domestic or international student. Other costs typically include residence, meal plan, textbooks and supplementary student fees.

Proof of Language Proficiency

Programs at Keele Campus are offered in English, while programs at our Glendon Campus are offered in a bilingual environment (English and French). To gain admission, you must demonstrate language proficiency in your program's language of instruction by presenting a minimum proficiency score on an accepted language test.

York offers transfer credit for completed Advanced Placement courses across a variety of school curricula. Review the requirements according to which school system you are applying from.

Every year, more than 5,000 visiting students come to 黑料福利网 to take credit courses. Visiting students aren't necessarily seeking a degree or certificate from York, but they are looking to enhance their degrees-in-progress or their existing degrees/qualifications. Many are hoping to complete their degrees faster by taking advantage of York's three terms and wide variety of courses.

If you are returning to York to complete your degree and you did not enrol in courses in the last Fall/Winter session, then you must reactivate your record to enrol. 

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email containing your York reference number. You can then track the progress of your application and submit required supporting documents at . It is your responsibility to ensure York receives all the required supporting documentation and that it is received before the deadline date.

The office of Student Recruitment & Admissions sends official communication about application and admission via email. It is important that you open, read and take action (if required) upon receipt of an email.

  • It will take approximately 4-6 weeks to process your complete application.
  • The processing period begins after all documents related to your application are received. Supporting documentation such as transcripts, course descriptions and language proficiency test scores (if applicable) must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions at 黑料福利网.
  • If any required document is not received, your application will not be processed.

Note: After submitting your application you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail from 黑料福利网, providing you with a York reference number that allows you to track your application status in our applicant portal, . If you have not received a reference number within 4-5 business days of submitting your application, please check your spam and junk folders. Nursing:

  • Application deadline for Direct Entry Nursing is February 1, 2025.
  • Application deadline for Nursing: Second Entry is February 1, 2025.
  • Application deadline for Nursing: Post-RN for Internationally Educated Nurses is March 3, 2025.

*Schulich School of Business (BBA) will not accept applications after the January 15 deadline.
*Social Work (BSW) will not accept applications after the January 15 deadline.

Admissions FAQ

We鈥檝e collected some of our most common questions from undergraduate applicants below to help you plan and prepare.

All Applicants

The deadline for Ontario high school students to submit their application for admission to Fall (September) 2025 is January 15, 2025. For all other students the deadline for guaranteed consideration is February 3, 2025. Please note that we will continue to accept and assess applications after the February 3 deadline until each program is full. To ensure adequate time to apply for a study permit (if applicable) we recommend you apply as early as possible. Visit our Application Deadlines webpage for details.

Undergraduate applications are typically assessed within six weeks, once all required documents are received by the admissions team. If you have any questions about your application, visit I鈥檝e Applied page for information about required documents.

Shortly after you submit your application, you will receive an acknowledgment e-mail from 黑料福利网, providing you with a York Student Number to track your application status in our applicant portal,鈥.鈥疘f you have not received a student number within 4-5 business days of submitting your application, please check your spam and junk folders and be sure to add info@yorku.cato your Safe Senders list.

Depending on when you applied, you may see a blank status if your application is pending assessment. Please ensure your application is鈥肠辞尘辫濒别迟别鈥to avoid assessment delays and continue checking the status of your application on your MyFile account.

Being waitlisted for admission means that while you have met all of the minimum admission requirements, your chosen competitive program of interest has reached capacity at this time. We continue to monitor the waitlist and will grant offers as space becomes available. 

Please continue to check MyFile for any update to the status of your application(s).

 

Kindly note that it may take 4-5 business days for your鈥疢yFile鈥痑ccount to be active. If, after this length of time, you are still unable to log in please e-mail study@yorku.ca.
