The hydraulic system of the CAT excavator is supplied by the main pump driven by the engine. There is a main pump regulator behind each main pump to increase or reduce the displacement of the main pump by changing the effective stroke of the main pump, that is, to improve or reduce the power absorption capacity of the main pump. Because of the long time use, the power output of the engine will decrease, and the inclination angle of the main pump inclined plate will be increased, that is, the power absorption capacity of the main pump will also have a certain decline, which will obviously reduce the power absorbed by the whole hydraulic system. The main performance is the lifting of the upper arm, the expansion of the arm, the upper rotation and the walking speed of the whole machine. At this time, measures should be taken to adjust the main pump regulator instead of overhauling the engine. Because the power of the primary pump can not be equal to the output power of the engine, there is a difference between the two, and the power absorption capacity of the main pump itself is not in the limit position at the beginning, so when the engine output power falls, the power absorption capacity of the main pump is increased by adjusting the main pump regulator. This can not only make up for the decline of the power absorption capacity of the main pump, but also make up for the decline of engine power, and can also make up for the shortage of the main pump absorption power caused by the decrease of engine power. After adjustment, the power absorbed by the hydraulic system can still be equal to or close to the normal working power, thus ensuring the normal operation of the CAT excavator.
The main pump regulating instrument of the CAT excavator usually has three adjusting screws, which are the negative flow control pressure adjusting screw, the power change pressure adjusting screw, and the maximum angle adjusting screw for the maximum inclined disk. When it is not clear about the relationship between the adjustment of the three adjustment and the change of power, do not blindly twist the adjusting screw to prevent the situation from counteracting each other after the adjustment. The general practice is to move one of them first. When we find out the relationship between the adjustment direction and the power change of the nail, the adjustment screw that adjusts the line nail is returned to the place. The relationship between the other two adjusting screws and power changes is found in the same way. Finally, the three adjusting screws are adjusted to the direction of power increase, so that we can achieve the purpose of increasing the absorptive capacity of the hydraulic system.
It has been proved that the adjusted CAD excavator can still be used for a year. When the engine is overhauled, the working time can reach more than 20000 hours, and its economy is considerable. It must be noted that the master pump regulator can only be adjusted once. When the hydraulic system appears obvious power decline again, no matter how to adjust, usually the effect is not very good, then need to overhaul the engine.
