In the "Access International Confidence Survey" issued from October to November 2020, taking into account the challenges posed by the epidemic, it showed the positive expectations of the participants.
The survey requires rental companies, manufacturers, distributors and end users in the industry to provide growth forecasts for 2021 and beyond. Although Covid-19 has caused turmoil throughout the industry, this year's result is nothing more than confidence building. An example is the confidence index of the survey, which requires participants to rate their expectations (out of 100 points) for the next five years. The answer to this question in last year's survey was not optimistic, with an average score of 64.8 points (out of 100 points). Since the financial crisis in 2008 and beyond, we have never seen such a low number again.
In the second half of last year, industry-related companies, especially manufacturers, experienced unexpected sales declines after the weak market. Since then, the epidemic has caused immeasurable damage to the global industry, and the decline in people’s confidence is understandable, but this year’s survey index showed that the index rose by 4 points to 68 points, slightly higher than in 2015. At that time, the industry had almost recovered from the financial crisis.
The reason for this may be that many companies believe that with the global blockade, 2021 will only get better. Moreover, although some survey participants use words such as "uncertain, difficult" to describe the coming months, others believe that there will be an increase in the coming years.
Especially from the perspective of 2021, the overall views of the various sectors participating in the industry (including leasing companies, end users and manufacturers) are relatively moderate, and their forecasts for the next year are slightly flatter than those predicted by participants in the same period last year. , But not much. Although 22% of them predicted no growth next year, 63% predicted that the growth would reach a certain level.
