Now he comes to the construction site to help the customers complete the product assembly.
When receiving the first 994K order, everyone will join in the project, and cooperate with cross functional teams to ensure that the order can be made, installed and delivered to the customer before long distance transportation. The product team works with the business department to ensure that the whole process runs smoothly, and the goods are transported by plan before the date of commitment.
The only way to carry this equipment is through an ice road. And you can't miss the delivery date.
"The only ice road to the Ekati mine is only 2-3 weeks a year," Carlos said. Therefore, we are determined to send this 994K to the customer in time. If this time is missed, the customer has to wait until the next winter to let the product pass through the ice path safely. "
Another challenge for the team is the weight of the device itself. Under normal circumstances, machinery and equipment must be transported by several trucks. But if the temperature and temperature are abnormal during transportation, even 12 batches of equipment will still be very dangerous.
Once the machine is safe to reach the customer's construction site, the real fun begins. Four mechanics of Carlos cooperation with Caterpillar agents Fenning Canadian division installed this station 18 meters of equipment. Carlos likes customers to come to the 994K installation site regularly, and the customers' excitement about using this new Cat loader at the construction site also makes him happy. "It's exciting to see such a big device, Dominion Diamond, and they can't wait to put it in use."
But they have a high expectation of such a big guy.
Carlos says: "(customers) like Cat devices because it's a good product, and they can get the support they need. They buy Cat devices as their main loading tool and expect high values, hoping that these devices will not fail. "
When it was dark, the first batch of 994K products were sent to the customer's construction site and completed in six weeks. The temperature of the mine is very low, the environment is very bad, but the final result is very good.
Carlos explained: "it was like a lot of moving jigsaw puzzle, but at the end of the day, they were well combined. Cooperation and Fenning customer service feel great.
