Loader Factory Teaches You How To Quickly Change Tires

Sep 11, 2025

Because second-hand small forklift loaders often work on harsh construction sites (such as rock layers), hot summer weather, uneven tire pressure, and difficult ground conditions may cause tire blowouts. Let's talk about how to replace tires for small forklift loaders.

(1) Firstly, start the small forklift equipment, then find a flat and open place, press the boom lifting rod, use the boom support to keep the front tire at a certain distance from the ground, and then use the support on the blowout side near the flash bridge, and wedge the rear tire in.

(2) Using tools such as pry bars, disassemble and assemble the retaining ring and locking ring, and then check whether the tire liner is adhered to the outer surface of the wheel rim. If this situation occurs, the bracket can be removed and the equipment can be slowly operated back and forth over a short distance until the gasket falls off the outer surface of the wheel rim; Do not turn or drive quickly to prevent damage to the inner tube. Subsequently, the front tire was once again supported.

(3) Mark the relative positions of the inner and outer tires for easy search, removal of foreign objects, and repair of electric loader tires.

(4) Use tools such as pry bars to remove the small forklift tire from the wheel rim. Attention, the movements should be gentle and coordinated, with tacit understanding, to avoid being hit by tires and protect the air vent.

(5) After the outer tire is punctured by slender foreign objects such as steel nails, if there are no obvious wounds on the surface or the wounds are small, the outer tire can continue to be used (because small forklift tires are low-pressure tires and run slowly); If the wound is large, it must be repaired (because during equipment operation, the tire will be compressed and rubbed, which can damage the inner tube over time, and even cause the wound to become larger and the inner tube to protrude, leading to tire damage).

(6) If it is a new inner tube, the bolts at the bottom of the valve port must be tightened to prevent air leakage; Then remove foreign objects from the inner wall of the outer tire, sprinkle an appropriate amount of light calcium powder, and wipe evenly. To ensure a tight fit between the liner and the inner and outer tires, the inner tube should be moderately inflated before inserting the liner.

(7) Place the tire on the wheel rim, install the locking ring and retaining ring; During the installation process, it is important to protect the valve nozzle.

(8) Use a car mounted air compressor to inflate the tires.

(9) Press the boom lifting rod and remove the bracket; So far, it takes about 50 minutes to replace the tires of a six ton loader.
