The LT958 5-ton long wheelbase wheel loader is Liteng Machinery's flagship ZL50-class machine, designed in accordance with the international ZL50F standard. By extending the wheelbase to 3200 mm - versus the conventional 2980 mm - the LT958 gains significant longitudinal stability, allowing the operator to safely lift and transport full 5000 kg loads on gradients up to 28° without rear-axle unloading. The machine is powered by a 162 kW turbocharged diesel engine producing 745.3 N·m of torque at 2200 rpm, paired with a heavy-duty power-shift transmission offering four forward and two reverse gears (max. 38 km/h forward).
The 3 m³ bucket achieves a breakout force of 167 kN, suitable for digging compacted gravel, ore, coal and construction debris. A dumping height of 3400 mm and dumping reach of 1200 mm make it compatible with 25–30 tonne highway dump trucks without a loading ramp. The hydraulic cycle - lift ≤6.8s, total ≤12.55s - ensures high throughput in continuous loading operations.
