According to the statistics of the 25 major excavator manufacturers of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association Excavation Machinery Branch, a total of 49,408 hydraulic excavators were sold in March 2020, an increase of 5130 units and an increase of 11.6%. Among them, 13 Chinese-foreign joint ventures and wholly foreign-owned enterprises sold 18,967 units in the month, accounting for 38.4% of the total sales in the month, and sales decreased by 756 units year-on-year, a decrease of 3.83%. The sales volume of 12 domestic companies in March was 30,441 units, an increase of 5,886 units or 24% year-on-year. From January to March, the cumulative sales of excavators was 68,630 units, a year-on-year decrease of 6,149 units, a decrease of 8.22%.
Classified by model level: 990 units sold under the 6-ton level in the month, accounting for 18.4% of the month ’s total sales, up 4.95% year-on-year; 16772 units in the 6-10 tons class in the month, accounting for 33.9% of the month ’s total sales, a year-on-year increase of 32.6%; 10 to 20 tons of 5,984 units in the month, accounting for 12.1% of the month's total sales, an increase of 11.3%; 20 to 30 tons of the month, 12002 units, accounting for 24.3% of the month's total sales, a year-on-year decrease of 1.06%; 30 to 40 tons of the month Sales of 3343 units, accounting for 6.77% of the total sales in the month, an increase of 1.67% year-on-year; sales of 2217 units in the month of 40 tons and above, accounting for 4.49% of the total sales in the month, an increase of 1.84% year-on-year; a total of 804 wheel excavators were sold Taiwan, which accounted for 1.63% of total sales in the month, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%. Among them, there are 435 units of 10-20 tons, 196 units of 6-10 tons, 130 units below 6 tons, and 43 units of 20-30 tons.
In March 2020, the domestic sales volume of excavators was 46,610 units, an increase of 4,709 units or 11.2% year-on-year. From January to March, the sales volume totaled 61,277 units, a year-on-year decrease of 11.6%.
Excavators exported 2,798 units in March, accounting for 5.66% of total sales in the month, an increase of 421 units or 17.7% year-on-year.
The main export models are: 911 units below 6 tons, 291 units from 6 to 10 tons, 309 units from 10 to 20 tons, 832 units from 20 to 30 tons, 332 units from 30 to 40 tons, and 123 units from 40 tons and above. From January to March, 7553 excavators were exported, accounting for 10.7% of the cumulative sales, an increase of 1903 units and a year-on-year increase of 34.9%.
