Loaders and bulldozers are both commonly used construction machinery. Although both are construction machinery, their uses differ. Below is a breakdown of their functions and differences:

Loaders are a common type of construction machinery, primarily used for shoveling, loading, and filling operations. They can also perform light excavation work and are commonly used in construction, mining, highway, and port industries. By changing different auxiliary working devices, they can perform other tasks; for example, replacing the bucket with a grab handle allows for grabbing. The main function of loaders is still to fill, excavate, transport, and load materials, and in mining, to level the soil. Wheeled loaders are the most common type.

Bulldozers are also a common type of construction machinery, mainly used for excavating, transporting, and unloading soil. They are commonly used in open-pit mines, construction sites, and rural house demolition sites. Their primary function is to level land and perform excavation work. They are used in mines for mining, in construction sites for leveling the ground, and in rural house demolition for pushing down buildings. Bulldozers are mostly used for bulldozing, requiring high traction on the road surface, so tracked bulldozers are the most common type.

As can be seen from the above, loaders and bulldozers have different main uses, so the choice of which machine to use depends on the actual work requirements. Bulldozers are mainly used for bulldozing and leveling construction sites, while loaders are mainly used for shoveling and unloading materials. Their working principles also differ. A loader's working device consists of several parts, including a bucket, boom, connecting rod, rocker arm, and bucket and boom cylinders. In general, loaders have a wider range of applications; in addition to bulldozing, they can also perform loading and unloading work. The loader's bucket is connected to the boom and rocker arm, which, working together, can lift the bucket very high and also perform a tilting motion. Moreover, wheeled loaders have more applications and travel at high speeds, reaching 30-40 kilometers per hour, allowing them to work on roads. In contrast, commonly used tracked bulldozers require transport vehicles to reach the work site and cannot be used directly on roads, as this would damage the roads.
