The Configuration Structure Of Electric Pallet Trucks. What Is The Difference Between Electric Trucks And Manual Trucks?

Oct 28, 2025

I. Electric Pallet Truck Configuration Structure

An electric pallet truck, also known as an electric pallet truck or electric transporter, is a battery-powered logistics and handling device used to transport goods. It is a lightweight, small-sized, warehouse, and industrial vehicle. The structure of an electric pallet truck includes:

1. An integrated motor drive system with an electromagnetic brake and a vertically mounted series-excited travel motor that provides both travel and steering functions.

2. A hydraulic power unit that integrates the lift motor, control valve, gear oil pump, and fuel tank piping accessories.

3. MOS tube electronic control components with stepless speed regulation and overheating protection.

4. The battery is the power source of the electric pallet truck. The appropriate battery capacity can be selected based on the tonnage and needs.

5. The fork lift system features a four-bar linkage for greater stability.

6. The safety system, primarily consisting of an operating handrail and a fixed, non-slip operating platform, protects the operator.

7. Wheels made of polyurethane.

II. Product Features of Electric Pallet Trucks

1. They use an electric hydraulic pump for lifting and lowering, and an electronic control (chopper) or a resistive electronic control for speed adjustment.

2. Available in various sizes, with or without pedals.

3. The motor can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

4. Some electric pallet trucks are equipped with power steering, making steering more flexible.

5. Electric pallet trucks are suitable for heavy loads and long-term cargo transfers, greatly improving cargo handling efficiency.

III. What is the Difference Between Electric Pallet Trucks and Manual Pallet Trucks?

Electric pallet trucks and manual pallet trucks are two commonly used transport vehicles, but they also have certain differences:

1. Differences in Power Systems

Manual hydraulic pallet trucks rely on hydraulic lifting and human assistance to transport cargo, while electric pallet trucks rely on electric motors for heavy lifting.

2. Differences in Driving Skill Requirements

Manual hydraulic pallet trucks can generally be operated with minimal training, while electric pallet trucks require a professional driver.

3. Performance and Price Differences

In terms of performance, electric pallet trucks offer high efficiency, flexible operation, and fast handling speeds. They are also more expensive than manual hydraulic pallet trucks.
