Overall, the sales revenue of the 40 enterprises listed in 2021 was US $9.24 billion in 2020. Excluding two enterprises lacking sales data in 2019, the sales revenue of 38 enterprises listed in 2020 decreased by 19.15% year-on-year. Considering the epidemic situation in 2020, this sharp decline is not surprising, and the overall result is better than that expected by the market.
In terms of countries, from the number of listed enterprises, Italy, China, the United States and Germany ranked among the top four, with 9, 8, 5 and 5 enterprises respectively. In terms of the sales revenue of the listed enterprises in 2020, the United States, China and Japan ranked among the top three, with revenue of US $3.41 billion, US $1.87 billion and US $730 million respectively in 2020.
In China, the sales revenue of the eight listed enterprises increased significantly year-on-year in 2020. Among them, Zoomlion and XCMG grew the fastest, reaching 74.5% and 51.3% respectively. They are also the two fastest growing enterprises in the whole list.
Overall, in 2020, the performance of the world's top 40 enterprises of aerial work vehicles declined, and the annual revenue fell by about 20%. Among them, the Chinese market performed well, and the year-on-year growth rate increased to varying degrees.
