However, the development history of domestic forward moving forklift is relatively late. In 1985, the first forward moving forklift in China was developed by Hangzhou Xindeng Electric Vehicle Factory.

At present, the forward moving forklift on the market is mainly divided into three categories: seat driving forward, station driving forward and scissors fork. Europe is the main market for forward moving forklift trucks. The mainstream brands are: Yonghengli, Linde, BT, etc.

The cost and price of the stand driving forward forklift are relatively cheap. It is more convenient for people to get on and off the vehicle when they are standing. It is suitable for picking. It is more common in the domestic and Southeast Asian markets. The main manufacturers are Toyota, Lizhiyou, etc.

Scissor fork forward type forklift, with the portal fixed, the fork rack can be extended, and the application scenarios are more extensive. Besides, it is also divided into single shear and double shear. Single shear can only reach into one pallet position, while double shear can reach into two pallet positions to shovel the goods at the back of the shelf. Its main markets are in North America, Central America and South America. Mainstream brands include: Hester, Cologne and Raymond.

These foreign imported brands have firmly occupied the high-end market after decades of accumulation in hydrostatic transmission, high stability, ergonomics, multi-functional aviation handle, vehicle quality stability, software and hardware system compatibility and energy consumption, and have established a high reputation worldwide.

After years of catching up, the domestic forward moving forklift is close to the level of foreign brands in terms of full AC control, high load, energy recovery, regenerative braking, fingertip operation, electromagnetic control, fork soft landing, height display, camera monitoring, etc., but there is still a certain gap in the smoothness of man-machine engineering, micro control, software and hardware compatibility, which needs to be systematically improved.

Chen Hailiang said that as the country vigorously develops manufacturing industry and rapidly upgrades manufacturing equipment, the overall manufacturing capacity, production process and product consistency of the industrial vehicle industry have been steadily improved, the localization of key parts has been accelerated, and cost advantages have emerged.

In addition, the flexibility of domestic development mode, faster market response, faster verification and more flexible supporting resources bring more possibilities for change and innovation, which makes domestic forward moving forklift more daring to try new technologies. The first to bear the brunt is the application of lithium battery technology. Lithium battery technology brings a more environment-friendly driving form, a broader driving vision, and the advantages of maintenance free, fast charging and charging with batteries. The finite element technology has also been applied in the products of domestic enterprises. This technology plays an important role in the design of high mast, especially the beam design, and can make the high level forward moving forklift stronger, higher and more stable.

In terms of the application of new technologies, Chen Hailiang pointed out that the application of robot technology on forward moving forklifts has brought not only product upgrading, but also the overall improvement of "new products+new models" to the industry.
