According to Yonhap News Agency reported on April 6, South Korea's Doosan Infracore said on the same day that with the recovery of the Chinese machinery industry market, the company recently successfully sold 32 medium-sized excavators locally.
The report said that these 22-ton excavators will be put into the construction site of Changchun subway, highway and bridge through two large infrastructure enterprises in Jilin Province.
Doosan Infracore revealed that its customers have expressed interest in purchasing at least 10 additional machines. Based on this, the company believes that the Chinese construction machinery industry hit by the epidemic is recovering quickly. The industry believes that the peak sales season will usher in April-May.
Earlier, China ’s National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that the China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rebounded sharply to 52 from 35.7 in February, which means that the Chinese economy is gradually picking up.
"Looking at the sales of excavators in the Chinese market alone, the cumulative total in the first two months of this year was only more than 14,000 units, halving year-on-year, while the sales in March exceeded 40,000 units, returning to previous levels," the report wrote.
It is understood that Doosan excavators accounted for 7.3% of the Chinese excavator market last year. In the past three or four years, the market share in Jilin Province has exceeded 10%, and the cumulative share in the first two months of this year was 13%.
