According to China Construction Machinery Industry Association, sales of excavators in February were 28,300 units, an increase of 205% year-on-year. March is the peak season for excavator sales. According to interface statistics, from 2018 to 2020, March is the month where excavators are sold the most. Soochow Securities predicts that the sales of excavators in March this year may exceed 60,000 units, setting a new record in monthly sales. Prior to this, the sales volume of excavators in 2020 has reached a record high, reaching 328,000 units.
Excavator agents have asked for price increases. According to incomplete statistics on interface data, since February, 10 excavator agents have issued price adjustment notices, with price increases ranging from RMB 5,000 to RMB 30,000.
According to data from the professional version of Tianyancha, there are currently nearly 42,000 excavator-related companies in my country. Among them, nearly 44% of related companies are distributed in the leasing and business service industries, nearly 31% of related companies are distributed in the wholesale and retail industries, and nearly 11% of related companies are distributed in the construction industry.
In terms of geographical distribution, Shandong has more than 7,000 excavator-related companies, accounting for as much as 17% of the total. In addition, there are more than 4,000 excavator-related companies in both Anhui and Zhejiang provinces.
In terms of registered capital, 53% of related companies have a registered capital of less than 1 million, and 8% of related companies have a registered capital of more than 10 million.
