Nowadays, the electronic and automatic development of the excavator is fast, which makes the performance of the excavator work efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection, operation light, safe and comfortable, reliable and durable and so on. However, the digger and automation of excavators are inseparable from an important basic object, that is, the generator. Today we are talking about the daily maintenance of generators.
Daily maintenance of excavator generator
As the basis of the electronic and automation of the excavator, the importance of the generator is self-evident. If the generator has problems, there will be a series of problems, such as the shortage of battery power, the lack of brightness of the working light, the insufficient display of the dashboard and so on, and the serious damage will cause the dashboard and the computer board. Since generators are so important, what problems should generators pay attention to in their daily maintenance? Now let's just say it.
First, check whether the slip ring of the generator (also known as contact ring) is dirty.
Check the engine slip ring
Because the rotor is rotated, the excitation current is transmitted to the rotor winding (excitation winding) through the contact between the carbon brush and the slip ring. Therefore, once the slip ring is dirty, the excitation current will not be transmitted to the rotor's excitation winding, so the generator will not generate electricity.
Two, check whether the rotor of the generator is in collision with the stator.
Check whether the engine rotor and the stator collide
If the rotor is touched with the stator or friction, it will cause the rotor and stator heat, which makes the current and voltage of the generator unstable, and the serious will damage the generator or damage the electronic components on the excavator. If the rotor and the stator collide or friction, in general, the generator bearing, generator end cover or generator housing has been worn or deformed.
Three, check whether the generator bearings are oil deficient or dirty.
Check whether the bearing of the generator is deficient in oil or bad lubrication
If the bearing of the generator is deficient in oil or bad lubrication, the rolling resistance of the bearing will be too large and the outer ring of the bearing will rotate synchronously with the inner ring, which leads to excessive wear between the bearing and the bearing seat. Excessive bearing wear will lead to friction between the rotor and the stator of the generator, which will make the generator overheated and the voltage and current of the generator unstable.
Four, check the length of the carbon brush. If the carbon brush length is below 5 mm, it should be replaced in time.
Check the length of the brush
The carbon brushes on the generator play a very important role. The current is produced by a carbon brush, a slip ring, a magnetizing coil and a magnetic field, and the generator is generated by cutting the magnetic field through a coil. If there is a problem with the carbon brush, then the generator will not generate a magnetic field. Without a magnetic field, it will be impossible to generate electricity. In addition, if brushless generator is used, then the length of the carbon brush can not be considered.
Five, check the dirt and dust on the outside of the generator and remove it in time.
Check the scale and dust of the generator
The generator will generate a lot of heat during the working process, which will make the generator's temperature too high. Too high temperature may burn the generator, so fans are usually installed on the generator for forced heat dissipation. If there is too much dirt or dust on the generator, it will affect the heat dissipation, which will increase the probability of burning the generator, so it is necessary to remove the scale and dust on the generator shell in time.
Six, check the fastening status of all fasteners related to the generator.
Check the fastener of the generator
If the fasteners are loose or falling off, it may cause the engine to vibrate violently, thus causing the machine to have an accident. In addition, if the fastener is loose or falling off, it may lead to voltage and current instability, and even cause damage to electronic components such as meters. Therefore, it is also important to check the status of fasteners related to generators in time.
Seven, check the tightness of the transmission belt.
Check the tightness of the transmission belt
If the conveyer belt of the generator is too loose, it will cause the belt to slip, and the generator will not turn or the speed is too low. This causes the voltage and current of the generator to be unstable or not to generate electricity. If the conveyor belt is too tight, the bearing wear on the rechargeable generator, fan and pump will be aggravated, and if serious, the generator will be scrapped.
Summary: the generator on the excavator is very important, especially in the highly developed electronics, automation and rapid development today, the importance of the generator as a base is becoming more and more important. Therefore, the daily maintenance of generators is even more important. We must not forget to check the generator in the daily maintenance of the excavator, so as not to cause unnecessary losses.
