The Global Energy Internet Development Cooperation Organization held a seminar in Beijing on the 18th to propose a systematic plan for achieving carbon emission reduction targets through the construction of China's Energy Internet. The conference released three research results: "Research Report on China's Carbon Peak Before 2030", "Research Report on China's Carbon Neutrality Before 2060", "Research on China's Energy and Power Development Plan in 2030 and Prospects for 2060".
Patricia Espinosa, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, delivered a video speech, applauding China’s leadership in tackling climate change, “We need a clear road map to guide the world economy. The road to green and sustainable recovery and growth". Espinosa said that the research results released at this conference provide a reference for other countries in the world to explore new ways to reduce carbon emissions.
