Deutz first quarter of 2020: revenue of 339.8 million euros, down 25.0%

Deutz recently issued a report saying that the impact of the global pneumonia epidemic crisis has exacerbated the decline in market demand, leading to its first quarter new orders, sales and profits have declined to varying degrees.


In the first quarter of 2020, Deutz received a total of 356.7 million euros in new orders, a decrease of 30.7% compared with the first three months of 2019; in the first quarter, Deutz engine sales totaled 40,069 units, which was higher than the first in 2019 A quarterly decrease of 16.1%. This is not only because customers have accumulated a large amount of engine stocks before the new emission standards take effect, but the most important thing is that the demand caused by the epidemic crisis has fallen sharply.


Compared with the first three months of 2019, Deutz Group's revenue was 339.8 million euros, a decrease of 25.0%. The company said that in all sectors, only the service business revenue increased by 2.9%.


"The adverse impact of the epidemic crisis has become very obvious, and the challenging market environment has affected our business. After we closed most of our production facilities in Europe in April, we are gradually restarting these facilities. The level is driven by the strong demand from customers. In the current economic environment, customer demand has been declining.
