In the future, ZF has released innovative solutions for intelligent transportation and intelligent logistics.

At the 2018 day of technology activities sponsored by Friedrich J Hafen headquarters, ZF demonstrated its future oriented system solutions to the world.

In this event, ZF announced the formation of a joint venture with the e.GO Mobile stock company in Aachen, which formally began to produce a small auto - driving electric bus called e.Go Mover, which is expected to be five figures per year for the initial e.Go Mover plan, and the demand is expected to reach 1 million within 5-7 years. E.Go Mover is equipped with the ZF electric drive system, the steering system, the brake system, and the ZF central controller ProAI and the sensor, thus realizing the autonomous driving function.

According to the introduction, ZF is trying to build a complete set of digital logistics chain, e.GO Mover is an important part of it, and the digital logistics chain also includes hardware, software and services. ZF will display more innovative products at the September 2018 Hannover commercial vehicle exhibition.

On this technical day, ZF also showed an example of its digital networking technology application: an automatic driving electric van, which could follow the delivery service to the express delivery. Vehicles can run independently from one delivery point to the next delivery place; couriers do not need manual driving or parking.

At ZF technology day in 2018, ZF CEO CEO's Wolf-Henning Scheider, who was just in office, said the global trend of autonomous driving and electric drive provides a lot of business opportunities for system suppliers like ZF.

As for the future of autopilot in the commercial vehicle market, Wolf John Chaanning Sched stressed that in the early days, autopilot would be more common in a relatively uncomplicated environment, such as the interior of the company, the logistics warehouse, the port or the agricultural environment.

In this event, ZF shows the two major innovative solutions for the layout of the future logistics industry. ZF through the intelligent mechanical system, sensor systems and control devices to enable the vehicle to realize independent observation, thinking and action. These two innovations include: 1, driverless ZEV's innovative hybrid truck; 2, the ZF auto terminal yard index vehicle. This can be said to be an important part of ZF's "intelligent logistics" ecosystem.

As early as a few months ago, at the Hannover industrial exhibition in Germany, ZF first demonstrated the material handling vehicle that was independent of "observation, thinking and action" - ZF innovation forklift. In this event, this innovative material handling vehicle is again unveiled.

Under fully networked conditions, the innovative electric forklift of ZF can perceive the surrounding environment through the camera and radar system, and achieve highly automated driving function. The innovation of forklift truck has the characteristics of digitalization, automation, electrification and interconnection. It has paved the way for future automatic material handling vehicles.
