Regular maintenance of small loaders

Jan 22, 2026

Regular maintenance is essential for small loaders to ensure smooth construction progress and extend their lifespan. Here's a guide to regular maintenance for small loaders:

1. Maintenance every 50 working hours:

① Tighten the front and rear driveshaft connecting bolts.
② Check the transmission fluid level.
③ Check the brake booster fluid level.
④ Check tire pressure and condition.
⑤ Apply grease to the front and rear frame hinge points, driveshafts, subframe pins, and other bearings.
⑥ Check the air filter and replace if necessary.

2. Maintenance every 100 working hours:

① Clean dust and debris from the engine cylinder head, torque converter, and oil cooler.
② Check the battery fluid level and apply a thin layer of grease to the terminals.

3. Maintenance every 250 working hours:

① Check the wheel rim fixing bolts.

② Check the front and rear axle fluid levels.

③ Inspect the working device, front and rear frames, subframe, and all load-bearing welds and fixing bolts for cracks and looseness.

④ Change the engine oil (depending on the quality of the engine oil).

⑤ Check the tension and condition of the engine, alternator, and fan belts.

⑥ Check and adjust the foot brake.

⑦ Add grease to the fan pulley, tensioner, and water pump.

⑧ Tighten the engine cylinder head bolts and check and adjust valve clearance.

4. Maintenance every 500 working hours:

① Tighten the bolts connecting the front and rear axles to the frame.

② Change the engine oil and oil filter.

③ Clean and change the transmission fluid and filter.

④ Check and adjust the engine valve clearance.

⑤ Clean the diesel tank and suction filter.

⑥ Disassemble and maintain the engine and alternator.

5. Maintenance every 1000 working hours:

① Change the transmission fluid and filter. ② Replace the engine diesel fuel filter.

③ Check the tightness of the engine intake and exhaust pipes.

④ Replace the hydraulic oil return filter.

6. Maintenance every 2000 working hours:

① Change the front and rear axle gear oil.

② Change the hydraulic oil and suction filter, and clean the oil tank.

③ Check the operation of the foot brake and parking brake.

④ Clean and change the brake booster fluid, and check the sealing and braking sensitivity.

⑤ Check the steering system's flexibility.

⑥ Check the natural settling of the boom and bucket cylinders, and the sealing of the distributor valve's working cylinder.

The above are the regular maintenance procedures for small loaders. We hope you will pay attention to these aspects during normal use to ensure the proper functioning of your small loader.
