Construction of JCB plant in India

Kaiao forklift lithium battery factory has added a second production line with an annual production capacity of 30000
The German logistics supplier KION Group AG is supporting the forecast that warehouse automation equipment will increasingly use electricity by expanding its battery manufacturing department.
Kaiao started this initiative in 2020 when it partnered with BMZ holding GmbH to establish a joint venture called Kion battery systems (KBS) to produce lithium batteries for industrial vehicles.
Kaiao battery systems is now expanding its facilities there, a plant in Karl Stein on the main river in Germany, about 25 miles east of Frankfurt. Kaiao said it has started a second production line to produce 24 volt batteries for mobile warehouse material handling equipment.
Kaiao said that the demand for lithium battery systems in the internal logistics and warehouse technology industry is growing rapidly, claiming that its "electric forklifts have strong performance, so that [they] can easily compete with internal combustion forklifts, thus providing a sustainable choice for solving challenging application fields, whether indoor or outdoor."
So far, the plant has produced 48 volt and 80 volt batteries for counterweight forklifts, but this expansion will add 24 volt batteries to other industrial trucks. By adding a second production line, Kaiao battery system factory is now able to produce 30000 batteries a year.
