In 2009, Chihong Zinc Germanium invested 100 million Canadian dollars to establish a 50% equity joint venture with Canada selwin Resources Co., Ltd. In 2013, Chihong Zinc Germanium, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Chihong Canada Mining Co., Ltd., purchased 50% of the joint venture interests of selwin Chihong Mining Co., Ltd. held by selwin Resources Co., Ltd. at a price of CAD 50 million, and thereafter held 100% of the interests of selwin Chihong Mining Co., Ltd.
According to the announcement of Chihong Zinc Germanium, the total amount of control level + inferred level lead-zinc metal of selwin project is 26.9 million tons. Chihong Zinc disclosed in last year's annual report that according to the resource estimation report of ni43-101 selwin project issued in September 2012, the control level resource of the project is 186 million tons (total lead and zinc), the average grade of zinc is 5.20%, and the amount of zinc metal is 9.67 million tons; The inferred resource is 238 million tons (total lead and zinc), the average grade of zinc is 4.47%, and the lead and zinc metal amount is about 13.92 million tons

In 2008, Jinchuan Group completed the acquisition of Taylor resources of Canada, the company affiliated to the project, with us $161 million. Since then, it has wholly owned bahoraqi copper zinc mine. According to previous media reports, bahoraqi copper zinc mine is the largest undeveloped copper zinc mine in the region and also a copper gold porphyry deposit with world-class potential.
Jinchuan Group has not announced the specific reserves of the mine. Mining intelligence says that the zinc resources and reserves of the mine are 4.63 million tons.
