Loader Problem – Difficulty Starting in Winter

Dec 22, 2025

Starting a loader in winter is a common headache for many drivers. Today, we'll share some tips to prevent starting problems with small loaders in winter.

Using small loaders in winter, especially with unclean fuel, can leave behind non-combustible gum residue in the diesel. When this impurity accumulates in the combustion chamber, it can cause difficulty starting or even prevent the engine from starting. Solution: Drip some engine oil into the combustion chamber; this usually helps. After starting, take it to a service station for a non-disassembly cleaning. In severe cases, the cylinder head needs to be disassembled and cleaned.

The small loader may have normal fuel and power supply, but still won't start. When the small loader is used infrequently, water vapor from engine combustion can freeze in the exhaust pipe. Over time, this affects exhaust and can prevent starting. The solution is simple: place the small loader in a warm environment; the ice will melt and it will start. For a more thorough solution, drive it around a bit; the heat from the exhaust will completely melt the ice.

If you do your homework on how to operate a small loader in winter, don't panic if you encounter a situation where your small loader won't start in winter. Just follow the methods provided by the editor to solve the problem.
