In the first half of this year, 669,800 heavy trucks were sold, a remarkable 15% increase over the same period last year.
According to July's data, China's heavy truck market has sold a total of 77,000 vehicles, down 31% from the same period last year, down 15% from 90,200 vehicles. As we expected, the decline of the heavy truck market is coming from the off-season. This decline can be said as expected.

A late slack season
In 2018, under the strong pull of the engineering car, in the first half of the year, China's heavy card market was a little more than expected; January, March, April, May and June all had a record of history. In March, the market also created a new high of the monthly sales volume of the heavy card market with 138 thousand and 900 vehicles; there were two decline in the same year, once the new year. The monthly market sales fell by 13% over the same period, which could be ignored. The other was July, and the sales volume fell by 15% year-on-year.
The main reasons are as follows: first, the heavy card market entered the off-season in June. This year, due to many factors caused by the engineering car and the gap of production capacity, the peak season was extended for 1 months. In July, the demand for heavy card market, such as logistics vehicles and engineering cars, fell rapidly with the arrival of high temperature and rainy season. The purchase demand of the terminal is "cooling" and entering the traditional off-season; two is the subdivision market of the tractor because of the low price of highway, still has no color, continues to restrain the purchase demand of the new car market; the three is the June impulse of the partial heavy card enterprises, and the influence on the channel distributors and the market in July.
The first ten are stable
The cumulative sales of heavy cards in 1-7 months in 2018 were 748 thousand and 800, up 11% from 673 thousand and 900 in the same period last year, but the growth rate slowed down (the cumulative increase of 15.11% in the month of 1-6).
From the main manufacturers, FAW released 14 thousand heavy cards in July, 179 thousand in the previous July, 16% in the same period, 23.9% in market share, and continued to keep the industry first.
The second Dongfeng Heavy Truck sold 15,500 vehicles in July, up 2% from a year earlier, and 135,900 in January-July, up 8% from a year earlier, with a market share of 18.1%.
China heavy truck continued to rank the top three in the industry. In July, it sold 13 thousand heavy cards, a year-on-year decline of 19%, and 123 thousand of all kinds of heavy cards sold in 1-7 months, with a year-on-year increase of 6% and the market share of 16.4%.
Shaanxi steam group in July sales of heavy cards about 10 thousand vehicles, a year-on-year decline of 29%; 1-7 months, the cumulative sales of 109 thousand and 100 trucks, 7%, the market share of 14.6%, continue to be stable in the top four of the industry.
Fukuda sold 9,500 heavy trucks in July, up 5% from a year earlier, and 72,400 from January to July, up 11% from a year earlier, with a market share of 9.7%.
SAIC red rock in July sales of heavy cards about 5000 vehicles, up 42% year on year, continue to maintain the industry's top six status and rapid growth trend; 1-7 months of the cumulative sales of all types of heavy CARDS 40 thousand and 100, up 71%, market share 5.4%. Seventh jianghuagel hair sales in July, about 3300 vehicles, an increase of 2% over the same period, totaling 29 thousand and 400 vehicles, with a market share of 3.9%.
Eighth heavy trucks were sold in 1-7 months with a total of 17868 sales, a year-on-year increase of 3%, a market share of 2.4%, and a cumulative sales of 12386 vehicles with a year-on-year increase of 12% and a market share of 1.7%. Xugong heavy truck sales totaled 10506 vehicles in 1-7 months, an increase of 38% over the same period, and the industry share was 1.4%.
The inflection point appears, the decline continues
July is the turning point of the heavy card market this year. In August, all the off-season factors still exist, and many heavy card enterprises put traditional high temperature holidays in the end of July and early August, and the heavy card market will be going to be further reduced by the same year and around the same period. However, because of the huge investment in fixed assets and support of the project, the three vehicle elimination and update of the country and the renewal of the car, we do not need to worry about the cliffs decline in the heavy card market.
