1, How to operate an electric storage forklift
Electric forklifts are widely used in the field of warehousing and logistics, so they are also called electric warehousing forklifts. The operation of electric forklifts is simpler than that of fuel forklifts. The specific operation method is:
1. Pre startup inspection
Before starting the electric forklift, it is necessary to check whether all components are in good condition and the performance of all operating elements and safety devices. Mobile forklifts can only use the current generated by batteries and must not use rectified AC power to avoid damaging electronic components.
Before moving an electric forklift, it is necessary to check whether the brakes and batteries are fully charged. Open the electric lock, move the control rudder to its motion position, slowly rotate the accelerator, and move towards the corresponding work area. Turning the accelerator forward will drive the forklift forward, turning the accelerator backward will drive it backward, and turning the accelerator back to the middle position will stop the forklift. The start, stop, or change of motion should be slow, as sudden movement may cause danger (due to inertia, especially when walking at high speeds). When the forklift is moving, the load should be at a low position, and the height of the fork above the ground should not exceed 300mm. Narrow passages or curved roads should be slowed down.
2. Stacking operation of electric forklifts
(1) The load is at a low position, carefully approach the shelf (the platform must be upright, and the driver stands on the ground to operate).
(2) Ensure that the front legs of the forklift can move freely under pallets or shelves.
(3) Lift the load until it reaches the position above the shelf.
(4) Slowly move the electric forklift forward, stop when the load is above the shelf, lower the fork to exit from under the pallet, make sure the load is safely placed, and do not apply force to the shelf below when exiting.
(5) Slowly retreat to ensure the tray remains stable on the shelf.
(6) Lower the fork back to the moving position.
3. Unloading operation of electric forklift
(1) Lower the fork to approach the shelf orthogonally and then enter its bottom.
(2) The fork exits from the bottom of the shelf.
(3) Raise the fork to the required height, making sure it is easy for the fork to enter under the pallet, and slowly approach the pallet to unload the goods until the load is safely placed on the fork.
(4) Lift the fork until the pallet is lifted off the shelf.
(5) Slowly move back out of the channel.
(6) Slowly reduce the load while ensuring that the fork does not encounter any obstacles during the descent process.
2, Operating procedures and precautions for electric forklifts
The operation of electric forklifts should follow the operating procedures and ensure safe operation:
1. Pre start inspection and preparation work
(1) Before starting the vehicle, check the starting, audio signal, battery circuit, operation, braking performance, forks, hooks, and tires to ensure they are in good condition.
(2) When starting, check for people and obstacles around you, and then sound the horn to start.
(3) When starting an electric forklift, the driver should first confirm that the loaded goods are stable and reliable. Try to lower the cargo as much as possible, tilt the door frame backwards, never lean forward, and start slowly and steadily.
2. Driving
(1) When operating an electric forklift, pay attention to observing obstacles, pedestrians, and walking routes, and leave a gap for driving. Do not extend your hands, feet, or other body parts outside the cab.
(2) When unloaded, the fork should be 50-150 millimeters above the ground; When carrying goods, the height of the cargo above the ground must not exceed 500 millimeters, and the lifting gantry must tilt backwards to the limit.
(3) Except for loading and unloading goods, it is necessary to drive on the right side and not exceed 10km/h on the roads in the factory area. It is not allowed to exceed 3km/h at turns, corners, intersections, narrow roads, and workshop warehouses.
(4) If you encounter someone ahead, you should honk to indicate your driving route.
(5) It is necessary to maintain a safe distance of three forklifts from other forklifts, except when forklifts pass by.
(6) At intersections or narrow roads, be careful and slow down, and honk your horn to be ready to stop at any time.
(7) When entering or leaving the work site or driving, pay attention to whether there are any obstacles or collisions in the sky. Do not make sharp turns or brake abruptly unless it is an emergency.
(8) Forklifts carrying goods are not allowed to make U-turns on slopes under any circumstances. They should move forward when going uphill and backward when going downhill.
(9) Forklifts are generally not allowed to overtake, but when overtaking a parked vehicle, they should slow down and sound the horn, pay attention to observation, and prevent the vehicle from suddenly starting or someone from jumping off the vehicle.
3. Homework
(1) Overloading and unbalanced driving are strictly prohibited.
(2) During the process of loading and unloading goods, from the beginning of the fork's load bearing to the stable load bearing and vice versa, the brake must be activated.
(3) The homework speed should be slow, and it is strictly prohibited to load goods with impact.
(4) Comply with the "Seven Prohibitions": Do not lift the goods for long-distance driving (height greater than 500 millimeters). It is not allowed to use forks to flip over pallets or use braking inertia to unload goods. Do not directly shovel and transport dangerous goods. Do not use a single fork for operation. It is not allowed to use inertia to load and unload goods. It is not allowed to use forks to guide people during operations. It is strictly prohibited to stand or carry out maintenance work under the forks after they are lifted. It is not allowed to use a forklift to tow other vehicles. If it is necessary to use a forklift for towing, approval from the head of the administrative team must be obtained.
(5) After parking, it is prohibited to suspend the goods in the air. After unloading, the forks should be lowered to the normal driving position before driving.
(6) When carrying goods on forks, the weight of the goods should be evenly distributed between the two forks, and the goods should not be skewed. One side of the goods should be placed against the shelf. Small items should be placed in a collection box (board) to prevent them from falling. The items carried by the forklift must not obstruct the driver's line of sight. If there is obstruction of the driver's line of sight, the forklift should reverse slowly. If it encounters an uphill slope, the forklift should not reverse and a person should be present to direct the forklift to move upwards.
(7) When approaching or evacuating items, the speed of the forklift should be slow and steady. Be careful not to crush the items, pallets, and fork heads with the wheels, and do not scrape or touch the personnel supporting the items.
(8) When using a hook to lift goods, the goods must be securely hung and can only be lifted and transported after the hook personnel have left.
(9) When lifting, lowering or driving a forklift, it is prohibited for any personnel to stand on the fork to hold objects or balance. No one is allowed within a radius of 1 meter of the forklift fork when lifting or lowering objects.
(10) When handling goods that affect visibility or slippery goods, reverse and drive at low speed.
(11) Before loading the goods onto the container, it is necessary to observe whether the container truck is tightly attached to the delivery platform, whether the truck wheels are properly cushioned with triangular wooden blocks according to regulations, whether there are people in the carriage, estimate the load-bearing capacity of the truck and the inclination of the truck and the pedal, and confirm safety before loading and unloading.
4. Parking
(1) Try to avoid stopping on slopes as much as possible. If unavoidable, use other reliable objects to block the wheels, tighten the handbrake, and turn off the engine. When parking, the fork should be lowered to the lowest position, the rear brake should be tightened, the circuit should be cut off, and it should not be parked on roads with a longitudinal slope greater than 5%.
(2) Forklifts cannot be parked near emergency exits, entrances, or fire protection facilities.
(3) When the electric forklift is not in use temporarily, the power should be turned off and the brake should be pulled.
5. Charging
(1) When using a charger, choose one that is compatible with the forklift and handle it gently.
(2) After charging, the power should be turned off first, then the charger plug should be pulled out, and the charger should be hung up. It is strictly prohibited to place it on the ground at will.
6. Maintenance and upkeep
(1) If any abnormal noise or phenomenon is found in the electric forklift during work, it should be stopped immediately for inspection and troubleshooting.
(2) It is strictly prohibited to perform maintenance or disassemble parts while the electric forklift is being started. Cannot self repair forklifts and disassemble parts.
(3) Strictly follow the company's maintenance and repair procedures for electric forklifts.
7. Unexpected situation
In case of accidents, one should do the following:
(1) Tightly press onto the steering wheel or joystick, and grip the steering wheel or joystick tightly.
(2) Lean on the opposite side of the forklift's dumping direction.
(3) Be careful to prevent damage to the head or chest, and never jump off the forklift when it overturns.
