Xiangtan motor group (XEMC) is one of the largest motor enterprises in China. The factory is located in Xiangtan, Hunan, which covers an area of 2.29 square kilometers and has more than 1.5 people. The main products include all kinds of large and medium-sized AC motor, DC traction motor, electric control complete set of equipment, mining motor vehicle, electric wheel dump truck, and so on 20 large categories, nearly 1000 varieties.
Hunan Electric Group, formerly known as the central electrical equipment factory founded in 1936. This is the first large scale Electromechanical enterprise in China, and is called the cradle of China's electrical manufacturing industry. In 1930s, the government of the Republic of China was in a state of turbulence and industrial development was slow. Most of the electrical products such as wires, switches and transformers rely on imports. In March 1936, the National Resources Committee of the national government formulated a heavy industry development plan, which was approved in July. The main content is to introduce foreign capital and technology, invest 270 million yuan in 5 years, build more than 30 state-owned industrial and mining enterprises, and focus on the development of electrical industry. Yun Zhen and others are responsible for the preparation of the central electrical equipment factory. At that time, the Japanese invaders had controlled the northeast and North China, and the Preparatory Committee decided to build the factory in the inland area away from the war. In the process of exploring and selecting the site in Hunan, Wang Shoujing and Yun Zhen found that the agricultural land of the lower reaches of the Xiangtan county is suitable for building a factory. Here, the waterway is on the verge of Xiangjiang. There are two railways of Guangdong, Han, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, and two highways of Changheng, Beijing and Yunnan, and Hankou, East, Guangzhou, Guilin, Chongqing and Guiyang in the north, and Chongqing and Guiyang in the west, and the ideal place for the construction of the factory. In the end, we decided to buy 10022.5 mu of the land, the Central Iron and steel plant, the central machine manufacturing plant, the central electrical equipment factory and the Xiangjiang power plant for its service. The central electrical equipment factory has 4 branches, which cooperate with the United Kingdom to produce electric wires and cables, cooperate with the United States to produce electronic tubes and bulbs, and cooperate with Germany to produce telephones and motors, transformers, switches and batteries. Another central wireless power plant produces broadcasting and communication equipment, and the central electric porcelain factory produces insulation porcelain bottles and other products.
After the "77 incident" in 1937, Japan launched a full-scale war of aggression against China, and the Kuomintang army was defeated by thousands of miles, and the hinterland of the south of the Yangtze River was at stake. The central electrical equipment factory was forced to move to Kunming and Guilin, and set up factories in Chongqing and Lanzhou. During the war of resistance against Japan, it mainly produced batteries, light bulbs and other products. After the victory of the war of resistance against Japan in 1945, the general management office of the central electrical equipment factory moved from Kunming to Nanjing and set up branches in various places, including Shanghai cable motor factory, Xiangtan motor factory, Tianjin comprehensive plant, Shenyang Electrical Appliance Factory, Hankou battery factory, Kunming motor cable factory, Chongqing battery lamp bubble factory, Nanjing Electrical Appliance Factory, Nanjing electronic pipe plant. The preparatory office and other 9 factories, and set up a central cable power plant in Nanjing. The central wireless power plant moved to Guilin, moved to Chongqing in 1944 and merged with Kunming plant in the winter to set up a factory in Nanjing. The central electric porcelain factory moved from Yibin to Nanjing. These factories have become the main enterprises in the initial stage of China's Electromechanical industry.
In 1945, the central electrical equipment factory signed a technical cooperation contract with the US Westing House Electric Corporation and Morgan Smith turbine company respectively. In September of the same year, 78 people were sent to the United States to study technologies such as steam turbines, turbines, generators, motors, electrical appliances and so on. In September 1947, the Americans returned home, who later became leaders of the new China electrical appliance industry. In April 1, 1948, the No.1 Workshop of the central electrical equipment factory began to break ground. In July 1st, the central electrical equipment factory was reorganized, and the resource committee central electrical equipment factory Xiangtan electric machinery factory was formally established.
In August 1949, the Xiangtan motor factory was taken over by the Changsha Military Management Association. At that time, there were 535 workers and 255 machines and equipment, with a building area of 24996 square meters and an output value of 408 thousand yuan. In 1953, it was renamed the Xiangtan motor plant of the first mechanical industry department, which was listed as the 156 key construction project of the country and built a marine motor shop, which became the base for the development of new products in China's electrical industry. Since 60s, the Xiangtan electric machinery factory has provided a large number of electrical equipment for our steel, metallurgy, transportation, petrochemical, electric power and military industries. In 80s, it ranks among the 500 largest industrial enterprises in the country. In March 1997, it was converted to Xiangtan Electric Group Co., Ltd. At the end of 1999, the enterprises set up the "Xiangtan motor Limited by Share Ltd" jointly by six enterprises, such as Beijing Metro General Company, together with the fine assets of the main part of the enterprise. In July 2002, the "Hunan electric stock" was successfully listed. In 2007, the company officially changed its name to Xiangdian Group Co., with a total assets of 4 billion 300 million yuan, including 6 branches, 6 wholly-owned subsidiaries and 10 holding companies. Electric wheel dump truck is one of the core products of Xiangdian group.
In May 31, 1931, China's first domestic car, Minsheng 75 type 1.8 ton truck, was laid off at the Liaoning mortar factory. Four months later, the 918 incident broke out. China's newly sprouted automobile industry was destroyed by the Japanese invaders. Until five years later, in 1936, the Japanese TOYOTA auto loom made its first car, TOYOTA AA, on the basis of the Chrysler Airflow car in the United States. In August 1937, the Toyota Auto Body Co of Japan was formally established and registered capital of 12 million yen. 70 years later, Japan's TOYOTA became the world's largest auto group, with annual sales of nearly 19 trillion yen. Since the invasion of Japan in modern times, the serious damage to China's industrial economic development has never been enough to atone for its crimes.
