The Korea Associated Press reported that Doosan Infracore announced on May 25 that it would temporarily close its factories in Gunsan and Incheon due to sluggish overseas sales in Europe and other countries.
Prior to this, Hyundai Construction Machinery Company had issued an announcement on May 22 that the Ulsan plant would suspend production for 10 days due to sales difficulties in overseas markets.
Relevant persons from Doosan said that due to the large demand for excavators in China's resumption of production, similar enterprises in China have completely resumed production. In the first four months of this year, Doosan excavators sold 7242 units in China, which was basically the same as last year. At present, the total size of the Chinese excavator market is 104,200, an increase of 8.9% year-on-year.
