The James Don factory was built in 1974 and covers an area of more than 1 million square feet (93 thousand square meters). The factory was originally used to make engine parts. Since 1981, it has produced more than 100,000 engines a year. With 1,700 employees, the Jamestown plant has grown by 20% since 2012, making it one of the largest operating companies in the region. In the past 20 years, international trade has been a driving force for the growth of Cummings's business and the expansion of employment. Half of Cummings's business is outside the United States, thanks to Cummings's global influence and export ability, and Cummings's local suppliers (mainly small and medium enterprises) have also made considerable growth in their business.

It provides a wide range of engine products to customers in different markets around the world.  "From the first engine in 1981 to an innovative technology that can reduce 98% emissions today, every engine produced by the James Don plant has the features of power, reliability, durability and other heavy engines that are very important to these customers, representing Cummings's strength in providing the world's leading power program. At the same time, Cummings will continue to invest in innovation in diesel and gas products, and the James Don factory will be very important for Cummings, customers and vehicle partners in the next few decades. Brett Merritt, vice president of Cummins highway engine business, said.

At the ceremony, Michael Cancelliere, President of Dhaka car and parts, said: "nvista and Cummings have a long history of successful cooperation in providing services to customers, and we are looking forward to working with Cummings to bring value to the customers."
