On June 15, the National Seminar on Logistics Vehicle Solutions for New Energy Exchange Mode was held in Xuzhou, Jiangsu. The seminar was hosted by the Xuzhou Municipal Government, China Jinmao Holding Group Co., Ltd., organized by the Xuzhou High-tech Zone Management Committee, Xugong Group, co-organized by Tram Resources and served as the designated media for the conference. Many experts, scholars, and business leaders expressed their opinions and discussed the power exchange mode of logistics vehicles.
Among them, Chen Quanshi, a famous professor at Tsinghua University, believes that the electrification of heavy trucks and construction machinery is imperative.
"Four electric mature" heavy truck electrification market prospects are optimistic
There are 15 million heavy trucks and heavy construction machinery in China, and the fuel consumption is equivalent to 200 million cars. The pollution emission of a heavy truck is equivalent to 100 cars. The timing of electrification of heavy trucks and construction machinery has matured. On the one hand, there is market demand, and the effect of energy saving and emission reduction is obvious; on the other hand, Ningde Times has become the world's largest power battery company, Mercedes-Benz has adopted BYD's batteries, and Volkswagen shares Guoxuan and Jingjin Motor's batch matching with American car companies all illustrate the success of China Battery and China Sandian. With the popularization of charging/exchanging facilities under the new infrastructure, batteries, motors, electronic control, charging/exchanging (referred to as Sidian) have basically matured, and the marketization prospects are promising!
Demand for electrification of heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery
Professor Chen said that at present, micro, light and medium trucks have basically been electrified in urban logistics vehicles. With the promotion and application of intelligent transportation, smart cities and low-carbon environmental protection technologies, their use is becoming more and more common. And the application prospects are promising.
However, in heavy-duty trucks (heavy trucks), electrification has greater difficulties: First, the total mass is large (generally tens of tons or even hundreds of tons); second, the mileage is long, and it takes hundreds of kilometers between cities The transportation task; Third, high economic requirements, transportation efficiency and cost are important indicators. Therefore, it is difficult for heavy trucks to be electrified, especially for long-distance, heavy trucks operating in remote areas.
However, the market demand is the last word: on some special occasions, for example, muck trucks in urban construction (called “sludge trucks” in Shenzhen), open-pit mine trucks, loaders, and loading and unloading trucks at freight terminals , Sprinklers, garbage transfer vehicles, etc. in urban sanitation, where the one-time transportation distance is short, the operation time is intermittent, and environmental protection (exhaust and noise emissions) requirements are high, has gradually promoted the application of electrified power systems and intelligent Unmanned system. Moreover, heavy-duty trucks and construction machinery generally use high-power diesel engines, which have high fuel consumption, high noise, and serious exhaust emission pollution. Especially, the difficulty of controlling nitrogen oxide emissions has become the focus and difficulty of vehicle exhaust emission control.
The success of power card exchange
In 2013, Tsinghua University and other units carried out electrification transformation of heavy dump trucks used in Inner Mongolia open-pit coal mines, and developed a pure electric mining dump truck with a total weight of 70 tons and a load of 42 tons. This car has been operating in open pit coal mines, iron mines and other mines for more than 4 years since 2014, with obvious economic benefits. Due to the use of a more effective braking energy recovery system, during heavy-load downhill and no-load uphill, it can be charged once a week in summer and 3 days in winter to ensure full-day operation.
Beijing Miyun Vic Mine currently has more than 100 pure electric heavy trucks. These vehicles transport sand and gravel to mixing stations within a range of 100km, all of which adopt the power exchange mode.
Choose to charge or change the battery according to the scene
In the current technical solution, there are basically two modes of supplemental electric energy, fast charging and quick change. According to different usage scenarios, various comprehensive indicators such as safety, economy, reliability, and user experience should be explored and summarized. Continuously improve various performance and business models, so that this country and people-friendly technology and industry can not only benefit mankind, but also promote the upgrading and optimization of the industry.
