Hangcha Group has introduced the "Hyper-Speed" series of lithium-ion stand-on stackers, specifically designed for cold chain logistics (cold storage warehouses). In sub-zero environments, battery performance typically drops, and operators lose time waiting for battery changes. The Hyper-Speed series uses a dedicated "Low-Temp Lithium Iron Phosphate" (LiFePO4) battery pack with an internal "Heating Film."
The engineering innovation lies in the "Thermal Management Logic." When the forklift is plugged in to charge, the system first uses the input current to heat the battery cells to an optimal 15°C before accepting a high-current charge. This prevents "lithium plating" (a dangerous condition caused by charging frozen batteries) and ensures full charging cycles.
Additionally, the stacker features a "Zero-Turn" traction system. The rear axle uses dual hub motors. By differentiating the speed of the left and right motors, the machine can rotate 360 degrees within its own footprint. This eliminates the need for a traditional steering column, maximizing operator space. The system also uses "Regenerative Braking" with a recovery rate of 30%. When the operator releases the handle, the motors instantly switch to generator mode. This recovered energy powers the "Heated Seat" and "Defroster" for the operator, a critical comfort feature in -20°C environments. The result is a 15% increase in productivity compared to standard lead-acid stackers in cold storage applications.
