According to statistics, in July 2022, China's heavy truck market sold about 49000 vehicles (Invoicing caliber), down 11% from June this year, down 36% from 76300 vehicles in the same period last year, and a net decrease of 27300 vehicles. 49000 vehicles is the lowest sales volume in July since 2016, slightly lower than the sales volume in July 2016 (49700 vehicles).

According to experts' analysis, the slow recovery of the heavy truck market is caused by many factors such as the impact of the epidemic, the great downward pressure on the economy, the heavy burden of fuel consumption costs, and the great pressure on inventory.

In July this year, in the increasingly fierce "qualifying competition", Foton Motor achieved an adverse growth; Universiade heavy truck returned to the sixth place in the industry, and XCMG heavy truck ranked seventh; There is only one enterprise with sales volume of more than 10000.

Specifically, among the first echelon of heavy trucks composed of Jiefang, heavy truck and Dongfeng, FAW Jiefang sold about 9000 heavy trucks in July this year; From January to July 2022, the cumulative sales volume of Jiefang heavy trucks was about 84800, with a market share of 19.8%.

Sinotruk sold about 10000 heavy trucks in July this year, making it the only enterprise with sales volume exceeding 10000 in that month; From January to July, it sold about 98700 vehicles in total, and its market share increased to 23%, with a year-on-year increase of 4 percentage points.

Dongfeng Corporation (including Dongfeng commercial vehicle, Dongfeng Liuqi Chenglong, etc.) sold about 8000 heavy trucks in July this year, ranking the third in the industry; From January to July this year, Dongfeng company sold about 79800 heavy trucks of various types, with a market share of 18.6%, and the accumulated sales volume still ranked the third in the industry.

In July, Shaanxi Automobile Group sold about 8600 heavy trucks of various types, and its export performance was second only to that of China heavy truck; Since the beginning of the year, Shaanxi Automobile has sold about 63600 heavy trucks, with a market share of 14.8%, an increase of 1.1 percentage points year-on-year. Foton Motor Co., Ltd. performed particularly well in July, handing over about 6000 vehicles, with a year-on-year growth of 14%. From January to July, it sold about 44600 vehicles, with a market share of about 10.4%, an increase of 2.4%.

SAIC Hongyan sold about 630 heavy trucks in July this year. From January to July 2022, it sold about 9800 heavy trucks, with a market share of 2.3%, ranking seventh in the industry. 1428 heavy trucks were sold in July, returning to the sixth place in the industry; From January to July, a total of 12400 vehicles were sold, and the accumulated sales volume remained the sixth in the industry. Its market share from January to July was 2.9%, with an increase of 1.1 percentage points.

Judging from the current situation, the performance of the heavy truck market in July was not as expected, and it was difficult to make a big improvement in August. The heavy truck market in September and October may usher in a wave of small climax due to the development of infrastructure. The hope of a substantial recovery in the month on month and year-on-year is "pinned" on these two months. Whether the annual sales volume of heavy truck market can exceed 800000 will also be determined in these two months.
