XCMG has introduced the "Global Smart" telematics platform for its export machinery series, addressing the challenge of providing after-sales support for equipment sold in remote regions like Southeast Asia and South America. The platform integrates a dual-mode communication module (satellite + 4G) to ensure connectivity even in areas with poor cellular coverage.
A major feature of the platform is the "Remote Diagnosis Assistant." If a machine triggers a fault code, the system automatically sends a high-priority alert to the XCMG global service center. With the operator's permission, service engineers in China can remotely connect to the machine's ECU. They can read real-time sensor data, view historical error logs, and even update the machine's software remotely. This capability reduces the need for engineers to fly to remote sites, lowering service costs and downtime.
Additionally, the platform features a robust "Geofencing Security System." Customers can draw specific work areas on the web portal. If the machine moves outside these boundaries, the system triggers an alarm and can remotely lock the machine's hydraulic system, preventing theft. The system also monitors the machine's working hours and automatically notifies the user when scheduled maintenance is due, ensuring that critical components like hydraulic filters and engine oil are changed on time, extending the machine's life.
