Sany Unveils “Global Intelligent” Remote Diagnosis System for Large Mining Excavators

Sany Group has officially launched its upgraded "Global Intelligent" remote diagnosis platform for its large-tonnage mining excavator series, including the SY750H and SY980H models. Mining excavators often operate in remote, harsh environments where sending field service engineers is costly and time-consuming. The new system leverages 5G high-bandwidth communication to transmit thousands of data points-engine RPM, hydraulic pump pressure, swing motor torque, and oil temperature-to a cloud-based server in real-time.

The core engineering innovation is the "AI Fault Prediction Module." Traditional monitoring systems only report faults after they occur. Sany's system uses machine learning algorithms to analyze trends. For instance, if the system detects a 2% increase in hydraulic oil temperature over a week combined with a slight decrease in main pump flow, it predicts a "Hydraulic Cooler Blockage" or "Pump Wear" risk before the machine actually fails. It automatically sends an alert to the fleet manager with specific maintenance instructions.

Furthermore, the system features a "Remote Parameter Optimization" function. If an operator complains that the boom speed is too slow for a specific digging task, the Sany engineer can remotely adjust the flow limit of the electro-hydraulic proportional valve via the controller, optimizing the machine's performance without needing to visit the site. This capability is protected by a multi-layer encryption key to prevent unauthorized access. The system also integrates a "Black Box" function similar to aviation recorders, storing the last 10 minutes of high-frequency operational data before any critical fault, providing invaluable data for root cause analysis.
