Anhui Heli Co., Ltd. has released a new "Lithium-Dedicated" G series of electric counterbalance forklifts. Unlike traditional electric forklifts designed for lead-acid batteries (which are heavy and require a large chassis counterweight), this series is engineered from the ground up for the high energy density of LiFePO4 batteries.
The engineering innovation is the "Compact Counterweight Design." Because the lithium battery pack is significantly lighter than a lead-acid pack of equivalent capacity, the chassis counterweight has been redesigned. The weight has been redistributed to the rear axle, shortening the wheelbase by 150mm. This reduces the turning radius, allowing the forklift to operate in narrower aisles without sacrificing stability.
Furthermore, the system features a "Smart Thermal Management Module." The battery pack is liquid-cooled and enclosed in an IP67-rated housing. The system monitors the internal cell temperature. If the forklift operates in a high-duty cycle (constant lifting and driving), the cooling pump activates to keep the battery below 45°C. Crucially, the system supports "Opportunity Charging" via a CAN-bus handshake with the charger. The operator can plug in during a 15-minute lunch break. The Battery Management System (BMS) identifies the state of charge and applies a high-current "Boost Charge" (up to 100A) safely. This "fast-fill" capability eliminates the need for battery change rooms, saving 15% of warehouse floor space.
